FKC

Processes: Thickening/Dewatering (Screw Press, Rotary Drum, Screw Thickener),

An FKC screw press can be used in a variety of liquid-solid separation, or dewatering applications.

A screw press can be used in the same applications where belt presses, centrifuges, and filter presses have traditionally been used. FKC’s custom designs and manufactures screw presses from 100 mm (4") to 1500 mm (59") in diameter, with wetted lengths up to 9 meters (30'). Dewatering with the Screw Press is simple and continuous where gravity assists the drainage at the inlet end of the screw and then reduces the volume as the materials is moved from the inlet to the discharge end of the screw press.  Proper screw design is critical, as different materials require different screw speeds, screw configurations, and screens in order to dewater to a high outlet consistency while maintaining an excellent capture rate.  FKC does not only manufacture screw presses but also thickening devices.  The FKC Rotary Drum Thickener is designed in the same way as the screw press to very tight tolerances so that there is no metal rubbing on metal.  This RDT can produce thickened sludge up to 8% and can work in tandem with the screw press.  No other dewatering screw type device can hold a candle to the workmanship of FKC.
